Our Story

Shop owner, Eric Shanor, has been working towards running his own automotive and motorcycle shop his entire life. He first developed an interest in the automotive industry when (insert story here)

He and his family moved around a lot throughout his childhood. Eventually they ended up in Alaska where he put his talent for fixing pretty much anything with an engine to good use as a diesel mechanic on the Slopes.

Eventually, good ol’ Washington, PA called him back home where he reunited with and married his long time love, Amy. Together, they built a life and raised their 4 children, Skyler, Addie, Wyatt, and Jesse. Supporting their family in every way has always been Amy and Eric’s top priority. You won’t catch one of the kids leaving the shop without a big bear hug and a warning to “not do anything stupid.”

Eric has been working at Port Authority of Pittsburgh for the last 17 years which brought with it all different manners of challenges and lessons as a diesel mechanic. Along with utilizing his mechanical skills, this position has allowed him to be there for his kids as they grow up. Working nights gave him the ability to fix cars and motorcycles with his boys when they got home from school. He could teach his daughter how to check her oil and change a tire.

Because of this, the whole family has developed the same appreciation for mechanics that he has and will be helping him in running the shop.

Amy is one of the smiling faces you will see when coming in to the shop office. Along with keeping an eye on the boys in the shop, she ensures that the office runs smoothly. Skyler and his wife Salena are happy being “behind the scenes” handling the shop books. Addie is currently working on her batchelor degree at West Liberty University and is telling all her friends where they can go for the most dependable auto repairs. Wyatt is studying auto body at Vo-Tech. He and Jesse have been working on cars and bikes since they were in diapers and are excited to work with their dad in the shop.

All in all, A&E Auto Clinic is truly a family business and we are excited to service our local communities with quality, experienced automotive and motorcycle repairs for many years to come.
